Company History

We are a family owned artisan bakery, producing hand crafted baguettes. Our story began back in 1993 when we purchased a village bakery where we used to make an extensive range of bread and pastry products which we sold in the busy bakery shop.

One of the products we made was a German style traditional baguette. There was a huge demand for our fresh just out of the oven baguettes and we wondered if we could recreate that same experience for people in their own homes, cafes, restaurants etc. That's when the thought of half baking the baguette occurred to us.

With half baking we would complete most of the baking process ourselves, leaving relatively little for the end user to do except finish the bake in their own oven and serve delicious fresh "home baked" bread whenever they desire.

Such was the demand for our quality baguette that in 2001 we sold our two bakery shops and opened our artisan baguette bakery. We now sell our Marlborough Half Baked Baguette range "FRESH BREAD IN MINUTES" throughout New Zealand in selected supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and wholesalers.
